We had tons of fun at our annual apple picking trip to Belleville, IL. The day started out rainy, but quickly cleared up! I went to this place when I was a kid and love the fact that we can now take our babes there. I think eveyone has their favorite part.....Bergin - getting kettle corn, Bryton - being picked to be part of the pig race show (although her pig did not win :(, Holden - the wagon ride, Houston - picking up rotten apples from the ground.

Bergin and Bryton had their dance rectial a little over a week ago and it was FANTASTIC! This was Bergin's 4th recital and Bryton's 1st. I was holding my breath to see what BryT would do up there on the stage, but should have know not to worry. She had a blast and was so proud of herself afterward. She said, "Mama, this is the best day of my life!" How can you not cry when your baby tells you that?

Bergin was the big sister on the lookout giving Daddy an update when he saw her in the hallway toward the end of the show. He told her that sister was doing good and gave the thumbs up!

We left Houston at home with our new babysitter, Lexi, who is a real blessing. The kids love her and we hope that she keeps loving them....despite how they may behave sometimes. Holden joined us for the show and I must say he was excellent, but he is the Golden Boy afterall. He watched every number and even did some dancing of his own. Do you think Daddy would let me sign him up for dance classes? HA! He could not wait to see his sisters after it was all over and help them hold their flowers that they received from Grammy, Pop Pop, Grandma and Paw Paw. He was the most supportive little brother ever.

Below is the address to the video of the girls' recital and Holdey singing Boomer Sooner....it is a must see!

Long Time No Blog

I know, I know it has been way too long since I started this blog, so I will not offically call myself a blogger. But I think about doing it alot...does that count? So much has happened, Brytie's Birthday, Lance's Birthday, and Christmas were all in December. We first had Lance's Mom and Ron in for Bry's Birthday, then we traveled to OK for Lance's Birthday and to celebrate Christmas with family there. Then headed back to St. Louis for Christmas here. It was so much fun, but I have such a hard time with the day after Christmas blues. So much build up and anticipation and then.....blah....so much stuff to find a place for in our house that we are quickly outgrowing, or have outgrown. But we love our house and we it is full of love. We like to call it the love shack! So after Christmas Lance turned into someone I have never seen before and decided to do a semi-finish to part of the basement so that the kids would have a bigger area to play and have friends over and put all their fabulous new toys. Then he decided to change what was our coat closet into an office nook off of our kitchen and turn our hutch into an entertainment center for our nice new TV. I of course stressed through the mess made by these projects until they were completed. I love it all and it has helped to give us a bit more space to happy with our little home.

Just the Beginning....

Ok, I'm hooked. I have had so many blogs sent to me lately and thought I would be able to resist, but I can't! So I am going to give it a try. Here we are....The Wheelers as Grammy likes to say.
